When you drag a file from one folder to another, what happens?\u00a0 Does the file get moved?\u00a0 Does a copy of the file get placed in the new location?\u00a0 The computer will automatically decide for you if you do the standard drag and drop.<\/p>\n
There are two basic rules the computer will follow.\u00a0 If the initial and final locations of the file are on the same drive, the file is moved.\u00a0 If the initial and final locations of the file are on different drives, the file is copied.\u00a0 As long as you can remember those two rules and you never need to move a file to\u00a0a different drive or copy a file from one folder to another folder on the same drive… you will be ok.<\/p>\n
