The people at the house said the marker wasn’t there when they moved in.\u00a0 We “Photoshopped”\u00a0it back in (see below).<\/p>\n

The marker says the Historic Preservation Guild of Hancock County is one of the sponsors.\u00a0 Tomorrow we intend to find out if these people know the where abouts of the sign.<\/p>\n
We did have another interesting interaction with someone at a site.\u00a0 The St John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church<\/a>\u00a0is suppose to have a marker.\u00a0 According to the OHS, this is one that I drive past every day.\u00a0 That church is half way to the University, right across the street from BestBuy.\u00a0 I was surprised that I had never seen it.\u00a0 I was more surprised that the pastor of the church had never seen it.\u00a0 We walked around the building just to make sure there was not\u00a0something hiding in one of the bushes.\u00a0 The pastor pointed out the cornerstone from the 1901 church which was at another location.\u00a0 They moved that cornerstone to this building when they built it in the 1960’s.\u00a0 He did give us directions to the site of the old building.\u00a0 He said the marker might be there.\u00a0 We plan to check that out tomorrow.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Yesterday we looked over the Findlay map and noticed there were several markers right under our noses that\u00a0we had not\u00a0photographed.\u00a0 We had a lunch excursion and\u00a0found most of them.
