I remember the first email program I ever had.\u00a0 It was Eudora running on an old LC II.\u00a0 That was about fifteen years ago and I have used Eudora ever since.<\/p>\n

Eudora has helped me avoid every Outlook related problem along the way.\u00a0 There are no security problems known for the program,\u00a0but last year Qualcomm<\/a> announced they would no longer continue to develop it.\u00a0 Shortly after that announcement, they turned the code over to the Mozilla folks to develop as open source.<\/p>\n

Today the first release of Penelope was announced<\/a>.\u00a0 From what I understand, it’s Thunderbird with the old Eudora interface.\u00a0 After tonight’s backup I plan to give it a try.\u00a0 It’s good to see a tried and true program get a second life.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
