The\u00a0iPod Touch has become my most\u00a0valuable piece of technology.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Last week I added this gem from Nemustech<\/a>.\u00a0 Nemus Sync is a free utility that syncs Google Calendar with the Touch’s built-in calendar.\u00a0 Syncing works in both directions.<\/p>\n

You have to jailbreak your Touch before you can add this utility.\u00a0 About a month after I bought my Touch I watched a couple of videos on YouTube and found easy to follow step-by-step instructions.<\/p>\n

The average person can probably get by just fine with the built-in functionality of the Touch now that POP and IMAP email are included.\u00a0 Some of my jailbreak additions include\u00a0Wikipedia<\/a> and Mobile Twitter which I use on a daily basis.\u00a0<\/p>\n

If you do jailbreak your Touch, don’t do the automatic updates of the firmware.\u00a0 I turned those off a long time ago.\u00a0 I think it was the day I got the following message from Apple:<\/p>\n

There is an upgrade for iTunes.\u00a0 It’s called Safari.\u00a0 Would you like to install it?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I had a flashback to 1996 when everyone was trying to get you to install “their” browser.\u00a0 I don’t understand how Apple can do something like this and it goes mostly unnoticed.\u00a0 If Microsoft were to try to push a browser out to an OS X machine that was upgrading\u00a0a media player, it would be all over the tech news.<\/p>\n
