Today Vista arrived at the Trusty house. It only cost $10 through the UF campus agreement. The deal is for Vista Business.
I plan to install the new OS on my main machine as soon as I finish all the grading for this semester. It will probably be later this week. I can’t wait!
I have a lot of software installed on my machine. It will interesting to see what stops working. I will keep you posted.

When I got the home addition of Vista preloaded on my new laptop 2 months ago, the kid at Best Buy told me that Office 2000 would not work on it. He said you will need to buy 2003 or above. Well, no way was I going to do that. I went straight home and 25 minutes later Office 2000 worked and loaded fine. Being a teacher, I do not need the latest 2003… office program so I am not sure what the Best Buy guy was saying- could of been a sales pitch. Anyways, my wife has loaded a couple of her old programs on the Vista platform and so far we have had no problems that were anticipated. Good luck Alvin and I look forward to hearing about your experience. Of course, you have much more than I do so I am sure you may have one or two negative experiences.
